Project Green Teen is an environmental service learning class that addresses authentic environmental needs in multiple communities.Instruction is integrated across all high school subject areas and delivered thematically with emphasis on real world connections reaching into students future school, community and career opportunities. They have spent time at the WFSC building LUNKER Structures, repairing collapsed banks, planting .
Project Green Teen. March thru late May. Teaching Shabazz High School “Project Green Teen” students about team building, the environment, stream restoration and the sport of fly fishing. Culminating with week-long field trip to Avalanche. Volunteer instructors needed for high school sites (casting, fly tying, etc.) and Avalanche (fishing help). Beginning on October 1, 2019, Project Green Challenge (PGC) seeks to inform, inspire and mobilize high school, college, and grad school students globally. This powerful and diverse call to action features 30 days of environmentally–themed challenges.
